Faith Hensley Art

I grew up in a family of artists and art collectors. Being raised around art gave me an early exposure to the wonders of paint. I was always drawn to abstract art in particular which uses the visual language of shape, form, color and line to create compositions which exist with a degree of separation from visual references in the world.

I use many different mediums, such as  acrylics, oils, markers and oil pastels. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.

I find solace in nature. I enjoy hiking in my spare time and many of my pieces are directly influenced by these hikes. The moment you step outside, you can feel it. When everything else feels unsettled, being out in nature gives me a sense of calm and reconnection.
